If your looking for a pinch of comedy with amazing thrills, this dark comedy is for you. 12 Hour Shift is an uncommonly clever heist caper with a refreshing female-focused twist. Nurse Mandy was a drug addict and was involved in the organ trading scheme along with her partner's hapless but dangerous  cousin Regina. The major plot begins when Regina messes up the delivery of kidney to their boss, who threatens her to get the kidney otherwise he would takes hers. After misplacing the organ, Regina puts on a nurse’s uniform and decides to find another patient to kill. 12 Hour Shift is challenging to put into one genre; it flows between a dark comedy, horror/slasher, and workplace drama. The great organ escapade and the many colorful and not very bright characters of this hospital make up the bulk of the storyline for 12 Hour Shift. The scene that sticks out the most is the cut between Regina and Mandy digging into different dead bodies with blood erupt on their faces, juxtaposing each other. To add to the film’s horror bits, a prisoner is transported to the hospital and manages to escape his restraints and kill his security escort. This is an amazing movie with lots of suspense and comedy, but lacked enthusiasm for its story.
